lyrical triptych

Lyrical Triptych

A lyrical triptych! Kay it may sound hard but after your done reading my reflection you will change your mind. We had to take a song that we like and basically describe it using photos in 3 different panels. We had to make sure the photos were a sensible description of the lyrics. I did a lot of different things and took a lot of different steps to create each panel.
My triptych is a sad one. I choose to use the song “let me love you” by Mario. First I went to Gettyimages.com and I was just downloading different photos to my computer that I felt described my song, then I was working on the first panel so I chose a picture of a female crying because in the first verse I picked out of the song was talking about being hurt and knowing things that put you through so much pain. Be sure to understand that we only had to pick three verses from the song and we weren’t doing the whole song. After that that I placed a t-shirt with a lipstick stain on the collar behind her and I feathered it, meaning I made it look for as if it was fading away, also I laced a woman and a man lying together and I did the same thing by feathering it. In my second panel I have a picture of a male and a female lying in bed together but on different sides of the bed as if they’ve been fighting and while they’re laying in the bed, they both are dreaming of another ma and women besides their spouse and the pictures that are floating above their head as the dream were feathered and I used my adjustments and my filter to make it look like a sketchy dream. Panel 3 is very simple but yet it makes a good ending. I have a couple holding a heart shaped pretzel and above the pretzel I have two pictures of a couple having a good time.
I created my images for my panels by using a lot of feathering and lowering the opacity, which is very similar to feathering but this makes the pictures kind of fade and feathering makes it dreamy around the edges. It wasn’t easy; I had to d a lot of deleting and replacing. I was reaching for a warm mod, like maybe something just very smooth and relaxing but at the same time something that makes you wonder how did the person that went through this really feel. As I went along a lot of things changed with the mood because at first I was just going to have couples just crying and a whole bunch of broken hearts but then I realized I didn’t want that and that I wanted to make it seem like this person found love at the end.
This project was very fun and helped me learn a lot about adobe Photoshop. Working with adobe Photoshop was an experience and kind of like a journey. Overall I liked it because now I can go home and make my own stuff because I know what I am doing. I think I did well on this project and that I probably didn’t earn a 4 but maybe a 3.i think this project was very successful. If I could change anything I would change nothing because I really liked how it came out and I like how I overlooked it and just did things as I went along.
